In my humble opinion, the best way to wind down from a long day is to break out a bottle of trusty nail polish and give yourself an at-home mani. Feeling inspired by a post on Lo Bosworth’s Instagram, I decided to tackle my own gold ombré manicure.
Recreating this mani on your own is actually quite simple. Follow my steps below to make your lady fingers look like a million bucks!
What you need:
– Neutral polish
– Gold Glitter polish
– Base & Top Coat
First, start by applying two coats of a neutral colored polish — after a base coat, of course. I went with Tickle My France-y by OPI, but use whatever neutral tone floats your boat.
Next, lightly start applying the gold glitter nail polish about 2/3 of the way down your nail. As you get closer to the tip of the nail, apply the glitter a little thicker to create a gold tip. I used Julep’s Oscar glitter polish, but even gold powder will work perfectly.
Finally, clean up any excess polish and finish off with a top coat. Now you’re gold ombré mani is complete!
Now that you’re all set with a fresh new manicure, get out & paint the town red!
