Fall is finally working it’s way into LA after what was arguably the HOTTEST & longest summer yet. Fall is without a doubt my favorite season – from pumpkin-flavored everything to boots & scarves, who can argue otherwise? Needless to say, I’m more than excited to break into my autumnal wardrobe!

Get The Look: Sequins, Sugar, & Everything Nice

Maria Sharapova was spotted out and about in LA earlier this week at the launch of her very own Sugarpova Toppings for Pinkberry. The tennis superstar was sporting a feminine and polished ensemble featuring one of my all-time favorite things — sequins. The beautifully embellished Monique Lhuillier sequined blouse — hot off the runway & not even available for retail, quite yet — was paired perfectly with a Carven skirt and nude Louboutins.

This simple, yet elegant look is very different from Sharapova’s typical tennis court get-up, but is definitely on-trend and ideal for any daytime event. A soft colored lip, similar to the pink that Sharapova is wearing, is an easy way to finish off this girly and flirty ensemble.

Although this look is right up my alley, it’s way out of my budget. Never fear, I managed to pull together a similar look for less than a fraction of the price!

NYE 2013…Go Out With A Bang!

With New Year’s Eve 2013 just moments away, the panic to find the perfect NYE outfit is surely setting in. No matter what your New Year’s resolutions may be, what you’re wearing when the clock strikes midnight will most certainly set the tone for the rest of the year — or at least those are the guidelines I live by. Sequins, leather, and, of course, an LBD are chic go-tos if you’re in a last-minute crunch to pull something together.

Look of The Day: Faux Leather Frenzy

Faux leather is a must have for the season and I’ve already added a few pieces to my wardrobe. I nabbed a pair of plum-colored faux leather shorts that are ideal for the mild Fall weather in LA. Adding a pair of tights will be a welcome and chic addition as the weather gets chillier — so that means 60 degrees here in the Sunshine State. Whether you’re looking to sport a skirt, a pair of shorts, or even a t-shirt, there’s no short supply of faux leather in any style to fulfill your needs.

Look Of The Day: Think Blue

Although it may be hard to tell that fall is well underway here in the always sunny city of LA, I’ve started making subtle updates to transition into my autumnal wardrobe. Fall is easily my favorite season when it comes to clothing. Tights, scarves, boots, you name it & I’m all about it! One trend I’m really a fan of this season is colored leather. Leather will always be a staple in my wardrobe, but adding a little color to your leather gives any looks a bit of pizazz.

Match Made in Heaven: 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target

If you haven’t heard all of the hype surrounding 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target yet, then listen up! The much anticipated designer collaboration hits Target stores September 15th but fashion blogs everywhere are already buzzing and rejoicing about the collection. The line features mens’s and women’s clothing in everything from handbags, to dresses, to slacks and jackets. From the looks of things, Phillip Lim has translated all that the brand is known and loved for into affordable styles. The average item from the collection is priced around $50 — which is a HUGE markdown compared to 3.1 Phillip Lim’s typical price point.

Get The Look: Black, White, & Red All Over

If you’re looking for a little inspiration for an simple, end-of-summer ensemble, then look no further. Olivia Wilde was recently spotted sporting an A.L.C striped dress paired with a RoviMoss crossboy bag and Ray-Ban Wayfarers to polish off her chic daytime look. Olivia’s ankle boots are really what give the look an end-of-summer feel, as opposed to styling her get-up with a pair of sandals — the quintessential choice for summertime footwear.

These basics are perfect transition pieces from Summer to Fall. Throw a pair of tights on underneath the t-shirt dress, a scarf around your neck, and you’re all set to take on the chilly weather in style. Even if this look was dismantled, each piece  can definitely stand on it’s own. A t-shirt dress, booties, and a boldly colored leather bag are all staple items that every shopaholic should have at least one of in their closet — in my humble opinion.

Although Olivia’s look is fairly simple, the price tag is nothing but that. It totals more than $500 — The O.C. must have paid a little better than my job. I wrangled up a few pieces to emulate a very similar look within a much more affordable price range.

Look Of The Day: Disco Inferno

This weekend I celebrated with two of my friends to ring in their 24 birthdays, and — as any shopaholic knows — parties are the perfect excuse for a little shopping to find a new ensemble. High-waisted pants have become one of my favorite pieces lately! They’re figuring flattering for almost everyone and a pair that I found at American Apparel is no exception.

Look Of The Day: First Day Jitters

Finding the perfect outfit for the first day of a new job always seems reminiscent of the first day of a new school year. You’re obviously sporting some new duds, but at the same time don’t want to be the girl that’s trying too hard. I was faced with the same dilemma this morning while getting ready for my first day of work! Working in the fashion industry comes with added pressure to always look your best — as we all learned from “The Devil Wears Prada.” So I made my way to Desert Hills Premium Outlets to find a few new pieces to mix with basics that I already have in my wardrobe.
